黄敏 1975年生于四川通江，1998年四川美术学院油画系本科毕业，获学院本科毕业作品一等奖。2006 年中央美术学院油画系三画室研究生毕业。毕业作品获中央美术学院研究生毕业作品一等奖。同时获得“王嘉廉油画奖学金。 “黄敏的绘画中，既有对中国整体的思考，也有对某一具体地区的具体观察。她的作品关注中国普通人的生存处境和欲望，题材会阶段性的变化，但越来越自觉的从当代公民权利的角度发现问题，用朴拙有力的具像手法表达。作品强烈有力量。形式语言和材料丰富多变。”2015年在德国China8展览期间被德国媒体盛赞为“最令人感到惊喜的中国女艺术家”。 作品收藏：以色列尧山艺术基金会，德国LA画廊，德国Micheal Shulz画廊，瑞士银行，美国华人协会，上海朱屺瞻艺术馆，香港邵氏集团，香港奥莎画廊，德国汉莎航空艺术基金会，四川美术学院，中央美术学院，等公共机构和私人。
