周巧云，湖南祁东人。
中南大学建筑与艺术学院美术系副教授，硕士研究生导师，定居长沙。
作品以水墨画创作为主，涉及雕塑与装置。依托并执着于传统水墨绘画厚重的历史墨韵，致力于将视觉上具象的世界通过艺术的解构后，重构出一种对于自我来说更加具象的，且属于自己的艺术表达方式。主要作品有漂浮系列、三十六度九系列、空境系列和涌动系列。2018年艺术驻留于日本。2021年至今访学于纽约州立大学，多次举办个展，并参加过多次国际艺术大展，策划过《身份的维度——国际女性艺术展》。作品被诸多重要的公共艺术机构以及私人藏家收藏。
Zhou Qiaoyun is from Qidong, Hunan Province.
She is now an associate professor and postgraduate tutor of the Department of Fine Arts, School of Architecture and Art, Central South University, and lives in Changsha.
The works are mainly composed of meticulous paintings, involving sculptures and installations. Relying on and obsessed with the heavy historical ink rhyme of traditional meticulous painting, she is committed to deconstructing the visually concrete world through art and reconstructing an artistic expression that is more concrete to herself and belongs to her.
The main works are floating series, 36 degrees nine series, space series and surging series. Art resides in Japan in 2018. Since 2021, she has been a visiting scholart at the State University of New York. She has held many solo exhibitions and participated in many international art exhibitions. She has planned The Dimension of Identity -- International Women's Art Exhibition. Her works are collected by many important public art institutions and private collectors.
